About

An independent firm, working on one side only.

CMI Healthcare Advisory helps Swiss and German companies understand and control the cost of healthcare for their U.S. employees. We are not a broker, a benefits agency, a third-party administrator, or a healthcare consultancy.

Christine Marie

Founder, CMI Healthcare Advisory

I'm Christine Marie, founder of CMI. For more than 25 years, I've worked inside the U.S. employer-sponsored healthcare system — managing ERISA health plans, reviewing claims, analyzing contracts, challenging hospital charges, and identifying costs that traditional reporting often fails to explain.

CMI does not sell insurance, receive commissions, or take a percentage of savings.

We work for the employer.

Our role is simple: understand what you are paying, why you are paying it, and whether you should be.

U.S. healthcare can be difficult to navigate, especially for European companies accustomed to very different systems of pricing, transparency, and accountability. CMI helps bridge that gap with practical, independent guidance based on actual claims, contracts, and data.

No hype. No theoretical savings. Just the receipts.

Experience

Our work is built on decades of practical experience inside U.S. employer healthcare: claims administration, plan oversight, contract analysis, vendor management and the financial mechanics of self-funded arrangements.

That experience is operational rather than theoretical. We have processed claims, read administrative service agreements line by line, questioned pharmacy pricing definitions, and sat opposite the parties whose compensation we now examine.

We know where the money moves, which documents matter, and which questions produce a usable answer.

Position

We do not sell insurance products. We do not receive commissions, overrides or referral fees. We do not represent carriers, brokers, pharmacy benefit managers, hospital systems or any other vendor.

Our only client is the company that engages us. That single relationship is what makes our findings usable in front of a board, an auditor or counsel.

Method

Engagements are hands-on and investigative. We read the primary documents ourselves. We do not rely on vendor summaries, dashboards or benchmark reports prepared by the parties being examined.

European clients work directly with the people conducting the examination. There are no account layers, no handoffs, and no unnecessary bureaucracy between leadership and the findings.

Before you approve another U.S. healthcare expenditure, know what you're paying for.
